Graduate Programs — Educational Administration, M. Ed.

This major prepares administrators for collaborative leadership in a context of rapid and substantive change. Our central task in these classes is the investigation and clarification of core beliefs about schools, young people, and effective education.

The M.Ed. with a major in Educational Administration prepares individuals to serve as elementary, middle school and secondary principals and central office staff in public and private schools. Students are encouraged to minor in another area in the College of Education, such as special education, counseling or early childhood. The reason for this marriage is that educational leaders work in educational settings, not as generic managers. This ensures that educational administrators remain active learners in matters of teaching and learning.

Program details can be found in the TCU Online Catalog.
